Are Bed Bugs Dangerous?
Bed bug bites affect each individual differently, so no case is the same. Some people show strong physical reaction to being bitten, whereas others show no reaction at all. In the most severe physical reactions, victims of bites have been known to develop allergic reactions and go into anaphylactic shock.
Despite this, bed bug infestations are not considered a medical or public health hazard, because they are not known to spread diseases from one bite victim to another.
